Meet Lauren
Lauren is a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience working with adults facing a range of mental health challenges. Her journey began at a non-profit outpatient program, where she worked with individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health conditions. She led group therapy sessions focused on helping adults with dual diagnoses develop social skills and manage their symptoms.
Lauren’s career also includes valuable experience as a Forensics Social Worker, where she worked with adults dealing with severe mental illness, such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder. This role deepened her understanding of the complexities of mental health and reinforced her commitment to providing compassionate, trauma-informed care.
Throughout her career, Lauren has prioritized cultural competency in her practice, recognizing that understanding and respecting each person’s unique cultural background is essential for effective therapy and support. She is dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel understood, validated, and empowered to heal and grow.
Lauren graduated from Sacred Heart University’s Social Work program in 2021, where she gained advanced training in trauma-informed care and cultural awareness. Her education, combined with her hands-on experience, has given her a profound appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit, especially in the face of adversity. She believes in the importance of continuous learning to provide the best possible support to those she serves.
What to Expect
Book your 15-minute consultation to learn about the therapeutic process and to see if you’re a good match for therapy.
If you’re a positive match, schedule your intake appointment. Be prepared to provide your psycho-social history, but do not fret! This is the most formal/structured session of the bunch, but the rest are more casual and organic flowing.
Work collaboratively to build a treatment plan that will be tailored to your needs and allows for measurable progress.
For short or long-term therapy, you will learn the skills to regulate your emotions and reframe negative thought patterns that keep you stuck in a rut! A combination of therapy modalities, rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) will be explored along the journey.
